This course aims to cover the theory and use of the WERCPULSE TMM on soft tissue and spinal joints.
The course will explain this modality used at WERC as part of the Joined-Up-Rehab process and describe treatment protocols that have been developed over the past 14 years using a variety of electrotherapy devices, finally culminating in the availability of the WERC PULSE TMM for sale in the UK.
The treatment protocols will apply to use of other Electrical Muscle Stimulators so will also be of use to those physiotherapists with no access to the TMM.
By the end of the course the physiotherapist will be familiar with the use of this exciting new piece of equipment and able to clinically reason an assessment based treatment to mobilise soft tissue and some spinal joints using Electrical Muscle Stimulation as a major component of the treatment plan for acute all the way through to chronic equine musculoskeletal dysfunction.
Course Fee £100 including a light lunch and coffee etc.
If you wish to attend this course please print and complete an application form and return it with your choice of date and a cheque for £100, made payable to WERC to confirm your place. Max number of places per course is 10. Places allocated on a first come first served basis.
All students attend at their own risk, the owners or staff at WERC accept no responsibility for any loss or damage to self or property .
Please note it is not possible to allow learners who have not become familiar with the TMM to use it on an equine on this first day of training. The theory behind the machine will be explained and fully discussed with equine demonstration. The practical element of the course will involve practice on other learners. Please come prepared to let others practice on you. If you have any medical condition that would restrict your participation please let me know at time of application or as soon as possible.
It is advised anyone wishing to become competent in the use of the TMM or other EMS modality practice on humans until they feel competent to practice on equine.
A workbook to facilitate this process will be provided to all participants.
There will be further opportunity for anyone who wishes to attend WERC for a one to one clinical day after they have successfully completed and submitted the workbook. Please feel free to contact me if you have any problems with accommodation, travel etc. A map to help you find us can be viewed by clicking here.
Looking forward to seeing you.
